about me

From Language Learner to Language Teacher

I was born and raised in the United States, but when I moved to Italy as a teenager, I had to learn Italian from scratch. That experience taught me firsthand the challenges of learning a second language – the mistakes, the frustrations, and the breakthroughs. Because of this, I started teaching English, helping thousands of students understand and speak fluently using the natural learning method. I know what works, and I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

My Academic Path

To strengthen my teaching, I pursued a solid academic background: I hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Politics, which gave me a global perspective on communication and cultural exchange – skills that are essential in connecting with students from different backgrounds.
I then earned a Master’s degree in Modern Languages and Literatures and Intercultural Translation, which deepened my knowledge of languages, cultures, and the nuances of translation, all crucial for understanding how learners interact with English as a second language.

My English Teaching Qualifications

To further specialize in English teaching, I obtained the CELTA (Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), one of the most recognized qualifications worldwide for English teachers, which equipped me with practical, hands-on techniques for effective language instruction. Finally, I completed the IH CYLT (International House Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teenagers, Cambridge), a certification focused on teaching children and adolescents, which allows me to adapt lessons to younger learners’ needs in engaging and age-appropriate ways.

Together, these experiences and qualifications allow me to combine academic knowledge, teaching methodology, and cultural sensitivity to help my students achieve real, lasting progress in English.
